A standout on the football field, he was a key member of the Pitt State Gorillas team that won the 1991 NCAA Division II National Championship, serving as team captain during his final two seasons. In 1992, Kendall was drafted into the NFL by the Pittsburgh Steelers, launching a remarkable 15-year professional football career. He played for the Steelers (1992–1995), the New Orleans Saints (1996–1999), and the Kansas City Chiefs (2000–2006). Known for his consistency and longevity as a long snapper, he played in Super Bowl XXX and earned a spot in the 2005 Pro Bowl, a rare feat for his position. After retiring from the NFL in 2006, Kendall remained a prominent figure in football, joining the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network as a color commentator for 12 seasons. Notably, he was on the call for the Chiefs’ victory in Super Bowl LIV in 2019. He currently hosts a three-hour Chiefs pregame show on 101 The Fox, continuing to share his insights and passion for the game with fans. Off the field, Kendall has made a meaningful impact in the nonprofit and education sectors. He serves as the Chief Development Officer for War Horses for Veterans (whfv.org), a nonprofit based in Stilwell, Kansas, that provides equine-assisted experiences for military veterans. Kendall is also an accomplished author and motivational speaker. He has written two books and speaks nationwide on topics such as emotional communication, the power of gratitude, and positive mindset—drawing from both his personal and professional experiences to inspire others. He is the proud father of two sons, Blaise and Drake. In February 2023, Kendall married to Paige, who serves as the Vice President of Corporate Engagement for the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
